European Soil Data Center
The European Soil Data Centre (ESDAC) is the thematic centre for soil related data in Europe and has been established according to a decision taken among the European Commission's DG ENV, DG JRC, ESTAT and the European Environment Agency. It contains currently soil data and information at European scale and will link in the future to similar datacenters at global and national level.

- Data in ESDAC: presents an inventory of and access to the soil data that the JRC is currently holding
- Maps in ESDAC: presents a library of scanned maps and a collection of prepared maps derived from the existing soil databases at JRC
- Applications/services : offers the user the possibility to interact on-line with many of the data held in soil related databases at JRC
- Help desk: ESDAC is committed to help you with the use of its soil data
and information; this helpdesk will reply to your questions and problems
