WP1: Development of new sensing technologies
Objectives
- To develop new sensing technologies for non-invasive characterization of the soil geophysical properties with a high spatial resolution.
- To identify and improve geophysical sensors as proposed in the Digisoil’s strategy. To specify their technical characteristics and optimal settings, considering theoretical aspects and practical constraints (e.g., mobility).
- To develop and optimize signal processing algorithms for the different sensors in order to maximize soil information retrieval capabilities in terms of quantity and quality.
- To synthesize 1 and 2 to make available an integrated system of geophysical sensors able to be tested in the next work packages. To define measuring and processing protocols.
