| Yusuf Yigini has studied Soil Science at the Ankara University, Turkey, where he graduated in 2001 as a Soil Scientist. Until 2003 he worked as a project assistant in soil projects at the Ankara University. He obtained a Master in Soil Science at the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, The Institute of Natural Sciences-Turkey, in 2006 with a thesis on Soil Survey, Mapping and Land Evaluation.
In February 2010, he joined European Commission – Joint Research Centre, the Institute for Environment and Sustainability, Land Management and Natural Hazards Unit, Soil Action as a Detached National Expert. He is studying on data integration of soil information from Turkey and bordering countries within the Soil Geographical Database of Europe (SGDBE). He is also employed as a researcher and pursuing his PhD in the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Institute of Natural Sciences-Turkey with a thesis on Soil Mapping, Land Evaluation. His main interests are Soil Genesis, Soil Classification Systems and Soil Mapping. |
