| After being graduated as Engineer in Agronomy
from the State University of Agronomy (Toulouse-France), Florence
Carré had a Master’s in Wageningen Agricultural University
(The Netherlands) specializing in Soil Survey & Land Evaluation.
During her PhD in Paris University of Agronomy (INAPG, France),
she specialized in Soil Science oriented to Soil Mapping &
Scaling issues. Later, she lead herself private firm on Soil Mapping
& Pedometrics activities with the grant assistance of the
Regional Council of Languedoc-Roussillon (France). Meanwhile,
she worked as an assistant professor in pedology in a private
Agricultural Engineering Institute in Beauvais (France) where
she teach pedology and was working on various scaling issues.
In 2005, she joined the European Commission - Joint Research Centre with duties in Digital Soil Mapping. Her role in SOIL action was to test and develop some methodologies for digital soil mapping, to manage the European working group associated to this subject and to develop better maps related to soil functioning. She left JRC in April 2010. |
