| Sara Barceló Cordón graduated in 1995 in Environmental Biology at the Autónoma University of Madrid, Spain, where she also received an MSc (DEA) in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology in 2001, with a research project on the relation between vegetation and soil in saltmarshes. She has a Degree on Rural Development from the University of Córdoba, Spain.
She has worked as an environment consultant and between 2006 and 2008 she was a technical assistant to the Ministry of Environment of Spain in issues related to international conventions and agreements on pollution. Sara joined the European Commission – Joint Research Centre in September 2008 as a project officer for the area of soil contamination. She also supports the European Soil Data Centre. |
